Board Members

LeRoy and Ann Munsch

LeRoy and Ann Munsch are longtime members of Arcade Church in Sacramento. Ann is the mission representative in their Sunday school class, while LeRoy serves as the team leader of Missions Alive Europe. They have served on two short-term mission teams that have gone to Romania. Ann is the editor of the ECP newsletter, while LeRoy serves as the publisher. Ann is a retired school teacher, and LeRoy is a retired consultant with the California Department ofEducation. They have two married children and four grandchildren.

Al and Georgine Yeatts

Al and Georgine Yeatts have been to Ukraine four times on short-term mission trips, and they plan to return there this summer. They have been members of Gideons International since 1969. Georgine has been active in the Gideon Auxiliary. They have been members of Arcade Church since 1973. Al worked for Aerojet General and came to Sacramento in 1959. In 1961, he and a friend started a small aerospace plastics company that they operated until 2001. Al and Georgine have three daughters and seven grandchildren. During their entire married life they have been involved in Christian work, from a Christian camping program, to establishing a small Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, and now Georgine is working as a volunteer for Senior Gleaners. They even found the energy to take in 50 foster children from 1964 to 1984.

Patricia and Jerry Owen

Patricia and Jerry Owen attend Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church, where they have been very active as volunteers for the past ten years. Jerry has served as Missions Elder and has been a member of the Missions Policy and Finance Board. Pat has served on the Board of Deacons. Since 1998, Jerry and Pat have led short-term mission teams to France, Hungary, Romania, and Russia. Since helping to establish Euro-Christian Partners in 2004, Jerry and Pat have focused their efforts on that ministry. Jerry serves as president of ECP's board.

Cornel Mich

Cornel Mich was born in Romania, and moved to the United States a couple of years before the fall of communism. He is married to Maria Mich, and has three children: Claudiu, Christina, and Andrea. Cornel and Maria own a home care facility for the elderly. Cornel is a board member for ECP and has traveled with Arcade's team to Romania for a short-term mission trip. He has sent his children on many other mission trips to his native country. Cornel is a member of Grace Romanian Baptist Church where he serves as an elder as well as a leader for adult Sunday school.

Carl Till

Carl Till was born in Massachusetts in 1936. At a very young age Carl accepted Christ into his life. He moved to California in 1950. Carl married his wife Gayle in 1959, and God blessed them with six children. Carl was an associate attorney with the firm of Gary, Till, and Burlingham for over 30 years until he retired in 2006. He has served at Arcade Church as an elder and a deacon as well as Interim Missions Director in 2006. He has been on annual short-term mission trips to Romania since 1999. Carl helped to start Euro-Christian Partners in 2004. Carl continues to serve as a board member at ECP and in the Missions Office at Arcade Church.

Pastor Rod Fendall

Rod Fendall is currently a retired pastor living in Sacramento, California. He and his wife Diane attend Arcade Church, and serve there as volunteers in several ministries. He served at Arcade Church for over 40 years in many different ministries such as Minister of Christian Education, Missions, Evangelism, and Visitation. As a young man, after serving in the navy, he attended Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon. He and Diane were married in 1962. After receiving the call to Arcade Church, they raised their three children in the Sacramento Area. They now have seven grandchildren.

 

 

 

Dr. Henry Wells

Dr. Henry Wells served as senior pastor for the Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church for 23 years before retiring in 2008. Dr. Wells list of Christian service includes the boards of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Law Enforcement Chaplaincy, and Release Time Bible Study. He also served as the team Chaplain for the Sacramento Kings Basketball team for their first six seasons in Sacramento, he served on the Board of Directors for Whitworth College in Spokane, Washington, and the Board of Directors for the Presbyterian Coalition. He held many positions within the Sacramento Presbytery, led citywide Concerts of Prayer and Prayer Summits, and has organized area pastors for ongoing prayer and fellowship. He still hosts a weekly "Pastor to Pastor" radio program in Sacramento. Pastor Henry has a heart for Missions. Prior to coming to Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church he worked with the Haggai Institute of Atlanta as Crusade Director, traveling extensively with founder John Edmund Haggai, and remains active in that organization in an advisory capacity. While serving as Senior Pastor at Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church, he helped develop a missions program that reaches from the local community to the far corners of the world.

Tim & Terry Dakin

Tim is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice in Fair Oaks.  He is a popular speaker on marriage and family issues, leadership dynamics and has led seminars throughout California, Colorado, Washington and Hawaii.  He is a frequent guest on KFBK Radio (Newstalk 1530) in Sacramento.

He has served as a national consultant and trainer to Americorps, training teachers and administrators in both Hawaii and Washington.  Currently, Tim is the clinical director of Covenant Counseling Services in Sacramento and is also an adjunct professor of Psychology and Theology at Western Theological Seminary.  He holds graduate degrees from Fuller Theological Seminary and the University of San Francisco.  He and his wife Terry have been married for 34 years..

Terry has a deep interest in ministry with young adults.  Besides serving locally at Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church, she actively shares (alongside Tim) in the leadership at international marriage conferences and retreats, encouraging discussion and clear communication of the crucial ingredients of healthy Christian marriage.  She works for Weight Watchers Inc., and loves to help coach people to setting healthy goals.  Terry has been involved in missions for years, traveling to France, the Czech Republic, and Romania.  She and her husband Tim are parents to Tracy (who is married to Jeff), and Todd.

                                                   

      Alan & Melissa Sakauye  

     Alan and Melissa Sakauye joined the ECP Board in 2011.  They attend Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church (FOPC)  where they have been members since 2002.  They served as Deacons at FOPC from 2006 to 2008.  They were married in 2000 and have two lovely daughters:  Jacqueline (married to John Dodson), living in Orlando, Florida and Monique, attending Musicians Institute of Hollywood in a keyboard program.  Melissa is retired and currently works part-time in FOPC's Missions Department.  She also volunteers in the Youth Department.  Alan works as a Vice President for California Family Fitness.  They served together on short-term mission trips to Romania in 2008 and 2009.  In 2010 Melissa joined Arcade Church on another mission trip to Romania.  They are both looking forward to serving with Euro Christian Partners. 

 

 

       Pastor John Vatran - International Advisor

    

John and his wife Estera live in Hateg, Romania.  John was born in Romania and came to the United States before the fall of communism.  While in the United States John attended and graduated from Western Seminary.  Shortly after the fall of the communist dictator in Romania, John and his family returned to Romania.  John is currently building a Christian Conference Center in Hateg.  In addition, John is involved in teaching at a seminary in Bucharest as well as serving as a pastor in a village church near Hateg.  John and Estera have a daughter and a son.
